Saving Lives with Hip-Hop Music Max Melvins Interview
The Lifers Group was a Hip-Hop movement that was birthed from the mind of Max Melvins. Formerly Incarcerated and wanting to redeem his life from a community changing crime, Mr. Melvins used his influence to extend the The Scared Straight Program into a Hip-Hop music movement to save lives and children from becoming a member of the Prison Population. Take a listen to this interview and hear the story of a man that produced a movement that was stopped because of the lives it changed from outside and inside of the walls of Rahway State Prison. This is NJ Hip-Hop history. Tune in!!!
